The Origin of this project
The idea of personalized medicine.in project originated in the year 2009, when Chakradhara Rao S Uppugunduri founded a forum “ Pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics” hosted by nature network. This forum has been started with the ambition to interact with contemporary researchers by Dr. Uppugunduri, then a PhD student working in Pharmacogenetics at the Department of Pharmacology, JIPMER, Puducherry, India. This forum was active for 2 years with the participation of PhD students, researchers from India and abroad. Due to unforeseen reasons, this forum hosted by nature network had been discontinued and Dr. Uppugunduri has decided to host this forum through an independent personalized domain. That is how this forum was with consistent enthusiasm of Dr. Uppugunduri and from support of his family members, especially his life partner Mrs. Akondi.
